today marks the start of MTV's "Musical March Madness." Green Day are in the "West" bracket paired up with Decemberists. Green Day are the defending champions in last years competition where they beat out Paramore by only a very small margin.
The voting has already begun and Green Day are way in the lead with 91% of the vote, but make sure to go and show your support anyway by voting over on MTV.com.
