Green Day's Milton Keynes show(s) from 2005 listed in Daily Mail's "10 of the Greatest Live Performances"

In British newspaper's The Mail on Sunday 'Live' magazine, Jo Whiley (British DJ and TV presenter) made Green Day's performance at the Milton Keynes Bowl in 2005 her No. 2 in "10 of the Greatest Live Performances:"

"This was the perfect show, in a way. They played all their hits, delivered them perfectly, with everyone singing along. There were even rose petals showering the audience at the end of the gig - not exactly what you'd expect from Green Day. They always have some live novelties - like getting three kids up on stage to 'make a band', which never fails to excite. It helped that this was a gloriously hot sunny day, but to play Milton Keynes Bowl and own it, to fill the space completely, was pretty impressive."

It's a pretty good snippet about the performance, although I don't remember the "rose petals showering the audience" part!

The 'top ten' also features performances from the likes of QueenPulp and The Flaming Lips. David Bowie took number 1 spot for his performance, also at Milton Keynes Bowl, in 1983. You can see the full list here.
