An article from a local Washington newspaper recently talked about the connection their town Longview has with Green Day. The town of 34,000 is known because it shares a name with one of Green Day's most popular songs, which was released in 1994, and it's music video credited with helping Green Day's huge success with Dookie.Billie Joe wrote about the title of the song back in February on Twitter:
"Our friend/roadie Kaz Hope, suggested we call our song Longview because the 1st time we played was in Longview Washington in spring 1992"
