Recently, AFI lead singer, Davey Havok got to sit down for an interview with AOL Music to talk about his current role as St. Jimmy in the American Idiot musical. "I received a phone call in January and was asked by Billie [Joe Armstrong] if I would like to fill in for him as the role of St. Jimmy in 'American Idiot' starting March 1 on Broadway. It was really, really thrilling. I was awestruck, just completely astounded and I couldn't believe it. To be on Broadway is something that I've dreamt about since I was very, very young. It was something that I spoke about wanting to do since I was very young and it was also something that I never ever thought could be possible with the decisions I've made in my life. So, to receive that call was really mind-blowing."
