Green Day release new studio video announcing 3 new albums

Here's the news about the releases. Now listen to Green Day talk about the 3 albums. Holy fuck I hope you guys are excited!

Billie Joe tweets about three new Green Day albums ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré!

Well it looks like Billie has found his way back onto Twitter again and today he tweeted about how the band will be releasing three new albums.

Billie also tweeted a video where he explains the three album trilogy to us, check it out.

Update: 6:00pm
The Idiot Club just posted a press release confirming three albums, ¡Uno! in September, ¡Dos! in November, and¡Tré! in January 2013 and will be released by Reprise Records.

The press release also included a quote from the band:

"We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives. This is the best music we've ever written, and the songs just keep coming," said the members of Green Day. "Instead of making one album, we are making a three album trilogy. Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels. We just can't help ourselves... We are going epic as fuck!"

At first I was quite skeptical, remember when Billie tweeted last June about how the next album would be released on cassette only? After the Idiot Club and GreenDay.com posted about the new albums my level of skepticism has lowered considerably.

Update: 6:45pm
An updated press release has been released with release dates for each album. ¡Uno! on Tuesday, September 25th 2012, ¡Dos! on Tuesday, November 13th 2012, and ¡Tré! on Tuesday, January 15th 2013

Studio Update #11 - Tre the motorcycle thief

Green Day has just released their 11th studio video update, coming in at 45 seconds this is the longest video that we've seen yet. In this video we see Billie talking to Rob and Mike in the studio. Tre also makes an appearance apparently stealing the motorcycle that Billie got for his birthday.

Final hours to vote for Green Day against Tokio Hotel who had a lead of 200,000 votes earlier

Today is the day. It's the final day to vote for Green Day in MTV's March Madness. As we wrote yesterday, we've been through 5 rounds to make it to the finals and now Tokio Hotel fans are putting up a good fight.

Results are hidden for this round, and the winner will be announced tomorrow morning on MTVNews.com. MTV released an article earlier today with a summary of the contest so far. They said Tokio Hotel got a huge lead at the start (which we saw before results were hidden), then Green Day fans took the lead with over 100,000 votes. Another push from Tokio Hotel fans got them with a lead of over 200,000 votes and they are currently still holding the lead.

So if we want to win this contest for a second time in a row, we need everyone to vote! Over 3 million ballots have been cast - so we need to step up and reach as many Green Day fans as possible to try and work at taking this competition. Why? FOR THE GLORY! I don't know why. Because it's fun to give Green Day a little more attention.

This is the final push. Only 5 more hours for us to try and take the victory - and again we'll be taking GDA offline later to encourage everyone who visits to vote. Voting ends tonight at midnight Eastern time.

SO VOTE!
